6th UPES National Client Counselling Competition, 2017 (4th-5th November 2017- Dehradun, Uttarakhand)
School of Law, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies is proud to host the 6th UPES National Client Counselling Competition, 2017.
This Client Counselling competition addresses fundamental skills necessary for all successful attorneys, namely the ability to interview, counsel, and support a client through their legal issue. Competitors conduct an initial interview with a person playing the role of the client and then address both the client’s legal and non-legal issues.
Previous seasons of this competition were based on a wide range of Indian laws and statutes such as constitutional law, the contract law, Law of torts, consumer laws, criminal laws, Electronic Disputes and family laws which enunciated wide knowledge of the law.
This edition is based on the laws related to DISPUTES THEME. It involves the following subjects: Law of Contracts, Corporate Law, Law of Torts, Constitution Law, Family Law, Intellectual Property Rights, Information Technology Law, Criminal law, Environmental Law and other codified and un-codified laws relevant to the theme.
